Rebecca Martinez is a Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing the 22nd District, which includes Plainville, Farmington, and Southington. First elected in November 2024, she assumed office on January 8, 2025, with her term ending in 2027. A resident of Plainville since 2009, she lives with her husband Javier, their two sons Mason and Logan, and their dog Josie. Martinez has over 24 years in healthcare as a nurse, currently working for Elara Caring. Education and Political Experience

Martinez served five years on the Plainville Board of Education, acting as curriculum chair for all five years and Vice Chair for one year. She was appointed to the State Board of Examiners for Nursing in 2020, serving until December 2024. This marks her first term in the state legislature.
