Biography
Raymond A. Hull is a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 6 . First elected in November 2010, he serves as Deputy Speaker and is a member of the House Finance Committee, House Municipal Government and Housing Committee, and House Veterans' Affairs Committee. A 30-year veteran of the Providence Police Department, he currently commands the Housing Unit. Born September 18, 1963, he is the father of two and resides in Providence.
Notable achievements include sponsoring laws for a 2025 textile recycling outreach campaign to cut municipal tipping fees, increased penalties for wrong-way driving on interstates , the 2024 Law Enforcement Officers' Due Process, Accountability and Transparency Act reforming LEOBOR , workplace bullying protections, and prohibiting insurance payments below Medicaid rates.
