Biography

Ray Plante is a Republican state representative for Merrimack District 27 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, covering the towns of Dunbarton, Hooksett, Allenstown, and Epsom. Born and raised in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York, he moved to New Hampshire in 2017 and resides in Dunbarton, where he serves as a Trustee of the Town Trust Funds. A lifetime NRA member and advocate for Constitutional Carry and Second Amendment rights, he works full-time as an Airbus A220 pilot for JetBlue at Boston Logan Airport. Notable achievements include his appointment to the House Majority Leadership Team as Assistant Whip and service on the State and Federal Relations Committee.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: Earned a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Plattsburgh and completed Army ROTC at the University of Vermont.
  • Military Service: Enlisted in the Army National Guard at age 17 as a Military Police Officer; commissioned as an Army Officer post-college; completed Army Flight School at age 21, flying UH-60 Blackhawks; over 19 years of service, including domestic and overseas deployments; currently Brigade Aviation Officer for the 86th IBCT in Vermont.
