Representative Ray Jeffers

Brannon Ray Jeffers is a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 2 since January 1, 2023. His district encompasses all of Person County and part of Durham County. He resides in Roxboro, North Carolina.

Education

Jeffers attended North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University for his higher education.

Political Experience

Jeffers began his political career in local government, serving on the Person County Board of Commissioners from 2008 to 2020. Following his tenure at the county level, he was elected to the state House of Representatives in 2022, replacing Larry Yarborough in the District 2 seat.

Currently, he serves as a state representative during the 2025-2026 legislative session. His professional background includes work in the non-profit organization sector.
