Representative Randall T. Pettigrew

Randall T. Pettigrew is a Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives representing District 61 since January 19, 2021. An engineer and businessman, he is known for advocating veterans' rights, Second Amendment protections, pro-life positions, and economic growth in southeast New Mexico.

Randall T. Pettigrew grew up on a farm and ranch in McDonald, New Mexico, with ancestors who homesteaded in Lea County since 1907. He is married to Shannon and has three children. Before entering politics, Pettigrew worked 35 years in engineering, including 20 years as a corporate executive for major firms, focusing on business efficiencies and growth. He founded Pettigrew & Associates, serving as Senior Vice-President and Principal Construction Services Engineer. Elected in 2020 after incumbent David Gallegos ran for the Senate, Pettigrew was unopposed in the general election. He opposes measures like the Red Flag Law , citing due process violations.
