Biography
Senator Randy Maxwell
Randy Maxwell is a Republican State Senator representing District 43 in Indiana, which includes Dearborn, Jefferson, Ohio, Scott, and Switzerland counties, and part of Jennings County. Elected in 2023, he serves on the Senate committees on Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Pensions and Labor, and is CEO of Maxwell Construction, a family-owned general contractor in Southeast Indiana.
A lifelong Hoosier from Logan, Randy Maxwell grew up in Southeast Indiana and now lives in Guilford with his wife, Robin, where they raised three children: Alex, Kyla, and Dylan. He has been active in community organizations, including as former president of the Dearborn County Home Builders Association, vice president and founding member of 1Dearborn Economic Development Organization, and member of the Indiana Unemployment Insurance Board . Maxwell has coached local youth organizations for 20 years and supports YoungLife in Dearborn County.
Education and Political Experience
Maxwell graduated from Indiana University, where he played football from 1995-1999 and earned degrees in finance-real estate and entrepreneurship. His political experience includes election to the Indiana State Senate in 2023 as a Republican representing District 43. He currently serves on key committees addressing agriculture, natural resources, pensions, and labor issues.
