Biography
Thomas R. "Randy" Ligon is a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 43 . A realtor, auctioneer, and farmer from Chester, South Carolina, he has served since 2018 and was reelected in subsequent cycles, including 2022 and 2024. Married to Jeannie since 1983, he has two children: George Thomas II and Mary Catherine Colones. Notable achievements include S.C. Auctioneer of the Year , Certified Auctioneers Institute, Certified Estate Specialist, Benefit Auction Specialist, and State President of the S.C. Young Farmers Association . He briefly co-sponsored the South Carolina Prenatal Equal Protection Act of 2023 before withdrawing. Current committee assignments include Labor, Commerce, and Industry, with subcommittees on Banking and Consumer Affairs, Insurance, and Real Estate.
