Biography

Senator Randy D. Lemm

Randy D. Lemm is a Republican State Senator representing District 20 in the North Dakota State Senate. He is from Hillsboro, North Dakota, and has been serving in the state senate since 2019. Lemm is a farmer and rancher by profession and is married to Julie, with whom he has 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Education

Lemm holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from North Dakota State University .

Political Experience

Lemm has been a member of the North Dakota State Senate since 2019 and currently holds his seat until December 1, 2028, following his 2024 reelection. He serves on the Agriculture and Water Management Committee and participates in various budget sections including Commerce and Legal Services Division and Government Operations Division.

Beyond his legislative role, Lemm has been active in his community and agricultural sector. He is involved with the North Dakota Stockmen's Association, North Dakota Farm Bureau, North Dakota Hereford Association, Kiwanis, and serves on the Board of the Red River Human Services Foundation.
