Biography
Randal Mangham is a Democratic state senator representing District 55 in the Georgia State Senate, which includes parts of DeKalb and Rockdale counties. He resides in Decatur, GA, is married to Andrea Bowen, and has two children. Sworn in on January 13, 2025, he serves as an attorney and has a long history of public service, including prior roles on community boards such as the State Bar of Georgia, Gate City Bar Association, and Boy Scouts of America.
Education and Political Experience
Mangham is a native Georgian and a practicing attorney, having served as president of Metropolitan Management Corporation since 1987, city attorney/city judge for Greenville, GA , and partner in the law firm Kendall, Mangham, Kendall and Hurst .
His political career includes election to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2000 for the 94th District , where he served on the Children & Youth, Judiciary Non-Civil, and Public Utilities & Telecommunications Committees before transitioning to the Senate. Notable positions include founding board member of the Georgia Association of African American Attorneys and various community development roles.
