Biography
Ralph Heap is a Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives, representing District 10 since 2025. A fourth-generation Arizonan and orthopedic surgeon with over 40 years of practice, he succeeded his son Justin Heap, who left for the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office. Heap is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has three children and eight grandchildren, and enjoys triathlons and playing in a bluegrass band. His top issues include securing the border, medical freedom, and parents’ rights. He previously ran unsuccessfully for state Senate in 2014.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University; earned medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine.
- Professional Experience: Practiced orthopedic surgery in the East Valley; served as team doctor for the Milwaukee Brewers and two local high schools; participated in medical missions in over a dozen countries.
- Political Experience: Elected to Arizona House District 10 in 2024; serves alongside Rep. Justin Olson. Currently running for Arizona Corporation Commission, advocating for limited government, free markets, reliable energy, and rural water access.
