Biography
Rachel Keshel is a Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 17, elected in 2022. She has been an active citizen of Arizona for 17 years and resides in Tucson. Keshel is a mother of five children, three of whom were adopted. Her faith serves as a primary motivator in her work for her family and state.
Education and Career
Keshel earned a degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She worked as a business executive at one of the country's largest UPS facilities before entering politics. Her background in business shaped her approach to leadership, emphasizing problem identification, solution execution, and results-oriented governance.
Political Experience
Keshel is a member of the Arizona Freedom Caucus and serves as Vice Chair of the House Committee on Federalism, Military Affairs and Elections. Her legislative priorities have included advocating for parental rights, election security, border security, tax reduction, pro-life measures, medical freedom, and Second Amendment protections. In 2024, she supported state legislation to ban no-excuse early voting by mail in Arizona. During legislative sessions, she has focused on state rights regarding law enforcement and opposed federal overreach and vaccine mandates.
