Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara

Rachael Cabral-Guevara is a Republican state senator representing Wisconsin's 19th Senate District, which covers central Wisconsin and the western Fox Valley. A nurse practitioner and mother of four, she has notable achievements including awards for nursing excellence, leadership in health-related Senate committees, and prior service in the state assembly.

Rachael Cabral-Guevara was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, and raised in an Air Force family, living across the country before returning to Wisconsin after high school. She resides in Fox Crossing with her family, whose roots are in nearby Kimberly, Little Chute, Doty Island, and Kaukauna. As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, she has worked in healthcare facilities in Appleton, opened Nurse Practitioner Health Services, LLC in 2014, and launched a COVID Care Clinic during the pandemic. Her awards include the 2022 American Academy of Nurse Practitioners State Award for Excellence and two Wisconsin Nurses Association Outstanding Legislator Awards. In the Senate, she chairs the Senate Committee on Health, serves as vice chair of the Senate Committee on Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention, Children, and Families, and holds roles such as Republican Caucus Vice Chair . She is also a member of the Migrant Labor Council, State Council on Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, Wisconsin Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial Commission, and Women's Council. Cabral-Guevara served one term in the state assembly before winning election to the Senate in 2023.
