Polly Thomas

Polly Jung Thomas is a Republican State Representative from Louisiana representing House District 80, which covers Jefferson Parish. She has been a dedicated public servant in her community for several decades, serving in various leadership roles.

Education

Thomas earned multiple degrees in education and psychology:

• B.A. in Speech Pathology and Audiology from University of Southwestern Louisiana
• M.S. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University
• Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University

She was a National Honor Society student throughout her academic career.

Political Experience

In the Louisiana House, she serves as Vice Chair of the Commerce Committee and holds positions on the House and Governmental Affairs Committee, the Retirement Committee, and the House Select Committee on Women and Children.
