Biography
Representative Phillip Bowers
Phillip Bowers is a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives representing District 3 , a position he has held since 2024. He is a lifelong resident of Six Mile, South Carolina, and has built a career centered on conservative principles and community service.
Bowers won his seat by defeating incumbent Jerry Carter in the 2024 Republican primary, then went on to win the general election against Democratic candidate Eunice Lehmacher. He currently serves on the House Education and Public Works Committee and the Legislative Oversight Committee.
Education
Bowers is a graduate of Daniel High School, Southern Wesleyan University, and Clemson University.
Political Experience
Before his election to the state legislature in 2024, Bowers held several significant positions in education and party leadership:
