Peter B. Schmidt is a Democratic representative for Strafford District 14 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, residing in Dover, New Hampshire. A retired European-language professional, he taught German and French at various institutions, worked as a translator and interpreter, and trained in Hamburg and Paris during the 1960s. Now in his tenth term , he serves his fourth term as Chairman of the Strafford County delegation and previously sat on the Dover City Council, chairing committees for the Public Works facility and COAST bus system. His interests include environmental protection, the arts, civic development, choral singing, and ballroom dancing.
