Biography
Peter Herzberg is a Democratic State Representative for Michigan's 25th House District, serving approximately 90,562 constituents in northwest Dearborn Heights, northeast/north/northwest/southwest Westland, Wayne, and southeast/south Canton. A lifelong resident of Westland near Warren Road and Wayne, he was elected on November 5, 2024, sworn in on January 2, 2025 , and won the general election with 58% of the vote. He is engaged with one child, and currently works as a Project Finance Specialist at CEPM Services. Herzberg is committed to securing school funding, protecting reproductive health freedoms, supporting small businesses, expanding voting access, and advocating for seniors and working families.
Notable achievements include serving as Westland's longest-tenured city council member for nine years , after attending meetings for 13 years, where he passed resolutions promoting small businesses and senior care. In the House, he serves on committees including Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure , Legislative Council, Rules, and as vice chair of the Select Committee on Protecting Michigan Employees and Small Businesses.
