Perry L. Dozier is a Republican member of the Washington State Senate representing District 16, which includes parts or all of Grant, Benton, Franklin, and Walla Walla counties. A lifelong resident of the district and wheat farmer from Waitsburg, he co-founded Double D Ranches with his father-in-law after college and has managed irrigated and dryland farming operations in Walla Walla and Columbia counties for over 35 years. Married to Darleen Smith Dozier for over 43 years, they have two sons, Logan and Kyle. He previously served two terms as Walla Walla County Commissioner , including as board chairman, and was president of the Washington Association of Wheat Growers , testifying before U.S. Congress on agricultural issues. Elected to the State Senate in 2020 and re-elected with 63% of the vote, he serves as Republican Leader on the Business, Financial Services & Trade Committee , and is a member of Early Learning & K-12 Education, Ways & Means , and other bodies. Notable for advocating a sound business climate, agriculture, education, and efficient government.
