Paul Zeltwanger
Paul Zeltwanger is an American accountant and politician born on March 28, 1966. He is a Republican who served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives representing the 54th district from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2022. He succeeded Peter Beck, who was facing dozens of felony charges.
Zeltwanger is married to Teresa and has four children. In addition to his political career, he works as a real estate developer and is the owner of Joshua One, a real estate development company. He is also a *certified public accountant *.
Education
Zeltwanger holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Grace College and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University.
Political Experience
Zeltwanger won his first primary election in 2014 with 51% of the vote and his first general election with 72% of the vote. He was consistently reelected throughout his tenure, winning his 2016, 2018, and 2020 general elections with 68%, 60%, and 61% of the vote respectively.
A notable moment in his legislative career occurred in August 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, when he joined state representatives John Becker, Candice Keller, and Nino Vitale in sponsoring an impeachment move against Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio's Republican governor.
