Biography

Paul Melotik is a Republican state representative for Wisconsin's 22nd Assembly District, which includes parts of Ozaukee and Washington counties, covering communities such as Grafton , Cedarburg , Port Washington , and portions of Germantown and Mequon. Born in 1957, he has lived his entire life in Southeastern Wisconsin, starting in Milwaukee and later West Allis. He is a committed husband, father of four, small business owner, and conservative leader with notable committee roles including Chairman of the Committee on Workforce Development, Labor, and Integrated Employment, and service on committees like Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Education, Forestry, Parks and Outdoor Recreation, Jobs and Economy, Small Business Development, and the Joint Committee on Information, Policy and Technology.

  • Education: Graduated from West Allis Hale High School in 1975; earned a double major in Business Administration and Accounting from Carroll College in Waukesha in 1979, where he played football and baseball; participant in Marquette University MBA program.

  • Political Experience: Elected to the 24th Assembly District in a special election in July 2023 and re-elected in November 2024 to the newly drawn 22nd Assembly District; served 12 years on Ozaukee County Board as 1st Vice Chair, Finance Committee Chairperson, and Public Safety Committee Chairperson; Town of Grafton Supervisor ; Grafton Library Board ; Jail Literacy Board Member . Active in Republican Party of Ozaukee and Washington Counties, MSBL Baseball League, WIAA basketball referee, and St. Joseph Parish in Grafton.
