Patrick Windhorst is a Republican representing Illinois' 117th House District, covering the southeast corner of the state including towns like Harrisburg, Metropolis, West Frankfort, and Golconda. A southern Illinois native from Metropolis, he lives there with his wife Holly and their two children. Windhorst serves as House Minority Floor Leader and is a conservative advocate for Second Amendment rights and protecting the unborn. As former Massac County State's Attorney, he focused on reducing violent crime and combating drug addiction. He currently sits on committees including Gun Violence Prevention, Ethics & Elections, Judiciary - Criminal, and Restorative Justice and Public Safety.
