Patrick S. Martin is a Republican state senator representing District 12 in West Virginia, which includes Calhoun, Gilmer, Lewis, Harrison, and part of Taylor counties. Born on May 1, 1993, in Jane Lew, West Virginia, to parents Carl J. Martin and Roberta J. Lynch, he is a business owner and the youngest Majority Leader in West Virginia Senate history, assuming the role on January 8, 2025. A Christian and member of the Way of Holiness church, Martin is affiliated with groups like the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce, National Rifle Association, and Upshur County Farm Bureau. Notable achievements include election to the Senate in 2020 and re-election in 2024 unopposed, after serving in the House of Delegates from 2016-2021.
