Biography
Patrick "Pat" Long is a Democratic State Senator representing District 20 in the New Hampshire Senate, serving since 2024. A lifelong Manchester resident raised at St. Peter’s Orphanage after family homelessness, he is a retired union ironworker who rose to business manager and has dedicated his career to public service, including 18 years in the NH House of Representatives . Notable positions include Alderman for the City of Manchester and former member of the Manchester Board of School Committee. He serves on the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services and prioritizes public safety, education investment, support for children and families, and economic justice for working families.
