Biography
Patricia "Pat" Moore is a Democratic representative for District 17 in the Louisiana House of Representatives, serving Ouachita Parish and corresponding Senate Districts 33, 34, and 35. Elected in 2019, she is eligible to serve through the 2028 term and is retired from State Farm Insurance Company. She serves on committees including Administration of Criminal Justice, Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs, and Transportation, Highways and Public Works, as well as the House Select Committee on Disaster Recovery and House Select Committee on Women and Children. Moore is a member of the Democratic Caucus, Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus, Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus, Louisiana Rural Caucus, and North Louisiana Legislative Delegation.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Wossman High School; College of Business, Northeast Louisiana University/ULM.
- Political Experience: First elected to the Louisiana House in 2019; current term extends through 2028. Sponsors legislation on topics such as motor vehicle office fee waivers for driver's licenses and identification cards.
