Biography
Parker Duncan Moore
Parker Duncan Moore is a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives representing District 4, a position he has held since 2018. Born on March 8, 1989, in Decatur, Alabama, Moore is a lifelong resident of his district. He is active in his community and serves as an elder at Decatur First Presbyterian Church. Moore has been involved in Republican political efforts throughout Alabama, working to support conservative candidates at various levels of office.
Education
Moore earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Alabama in 2011. He attended public schools in Morgan County, Alabama.
Political Experience
Moore was first elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in a special election on May 15, 2018, and was sworn in on May 16, 2018. Currently in his third term, he holds several significant committee positions:
- Vice Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Committee
- Vice Chair of the Tennessee Valley Caucus
- Vice Chair of the Limestone County Legislative Delegation Local Legislation Committee
- Chairman of the Infrastructure and Commission sub-committees
- Member of the Transportation, Utilities and Infrastructure Committee
- Member of the Boards, Agencies and Commissions Committee
Moore also serves as a member of the National Task Force on State AI Policy and has been nominated to serve as Majority Whip. Additionally, he co-chairs the Alabama chapter of the Future Caucus alongside Representative Jeremy Gray. In his professional life, Moore works as a North Alabama Marketing Representative for Encore Rehabilitation.
