Biography

Parker Fairbairn

Parker Fairbairn was born in Petoskey and grew up in Northern Michigan, where he is a fifth-generation resident. He currently lives in Harbor Springs with his wife, Victoria, and their dog, Timber. Fairbairn attends Harbor Light Community Chapel. Professionally, he has worked in the Northern Michigan automotive industry, serving as a Used Car Manager at Fletch's, Inc. and completing an internship with the Penske Automotive Group. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking. Fairbairn holds memberships in several organizations, including the National Rifle Association, American Legislative Exchange Council, Michigan Farm Bureau, Emmet County Farm Bureau, Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Safari Club International, and Mackinac Associates.

Education

Fairbairn attended Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Automotive Marketing and Management from 2017 to 2021. He subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management from the Northwood University DeVos Graduate School from 2021 to 2023.

Political Experience

Fairbairn was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2024 and began serving as State Representative for District 107 in January 2025. His district includes the counties of Charlevoix and Emmet, as well as portions of Cheboygan, Chippewa, and Mackinac counties. Within the legislature, he serves as vice chair of the Regulatory Reform Committee and is a member of the committees on Natural Resources and Tourism, Communication and Technology, and Energy.

Prior to his election to the state House, Fairbairn served as Chairman of the Emmet County Republican Party from December 2022 to August 2024. He also served as a Board Member of the Emmet County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority from July 2023 to August 2024. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Emmet County Farm Bureau since 2022.
