Orlando W. Paden is a Democrat who served as Mississippi House of Representatives member for District 26 from January 5, 2016, to June 30, 2025, representing Coahoma and Bolivar counties. He is the current Mayor of Clarksdale, elected on June 3, 2025, after winning the Democratic primary runoff. Notable achievements include serving on House committees such as Agriculture, Public Health and Human Services, Tourism, Transportation, Universities and Colleges, and Youth and Family Affairs; owning Red’s Juke Joint, a renowned blues club; and pursuing economic goals like developing the Civil Rights Heritage Trail, expanding festivals, and creating a small business incubator for tourism and arts.
