Omari Crawford is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives representing District 89 . He assumed office on January 13, 2025, after winning election in November 2024, and has been recognized as one of Georgia’s Top 10 Most Effective Lawmakers by the Center for Effective Lawmaking.

Born and raised in Decatur, Georgia, Omari J. Crawford serves as an attorney at Williams Teusink LLC, specializing in real estate and business disputes, and previously as Assistant County Attorney for DeKalb County and Associate Attorney at The Cochran Firm . He holds committee assignments including the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight Committee, Intragovernmental Coordination Committee, and Judiciary Committee. Notable achievements include graduation from competitive programs like the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association’s 2024–2025 LEAD Program, 2022 New Leaders Council Fellowship, and Leadership DeKalb Class of 2021; he was also honored in FAMU’s 2024 “40 Under 40” class. Crawford is active in community organizations such as 100 Black Men of DeKalb, My Three Sicklers Sickle Cell Foundation , Project LIFE , Rotary Club of South DeKalb, South DeKalb Family YMCA , and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
