Biography
Norman Crow is a Republican representing Alabama House District 63. A native of Tuscaloosa, he won a special election on January 13, 2026, defeating Democrat Judith Taylor with approximately 64% of the vote , and was sworn in the next day during the 2026 legislative session. Previously, he served as Tuscaloosa City Councilor for District 3 since 2021, a role he held after running unopposed in 2025; his election to the state house created a vacancy filled by special election. Crow is a longtime businessman with experience in the energy sector , owner of DT Freight transportation business, and licensed real estate agent with Hamner Real Estate. He and his wife, Keeshan, have three children and are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa.
Notable achievements and positions include Chairman of the Board for Boys & Girls Club of West Alabama and United Way of West Alabama; Chairman of West Alabama Chamber of Commerce and Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority; Board Member of Business Council of Alabama and Alabama Commission on Higher Education; Member of Alabama Workforce Council; Tuscaloosa City Schools Board member ; and Leadership Alabama graduate .
