Biography

Norm Thurston is a Republican representing District 62 in the Utah House of Representatives. Born October 4 in Ogden, Utah, he resides in Provo and works as an economist. He assumed office on January 1, 2015, initially serving District 64 until 2023. Notable achievements include winning the 2020 election unopposed with 100% of the vote, leading Utah's health care reform efforts as Health Reform Implementation Coordinator and Director of the Office of Health Care Statistics , and contributing to state-based Medicaid modernization while opposing Obamacare implementation.
