Nina Azella Milliken is a Democratic State Representative for House District 16 in Maine, representing the towns of Blue Hill, Brooksville, Castine, Sedgwick, Surry, and Trenton in Hancock County. She is serving her second term and resides in Blue Hill with her husband and three children. Milliken is passionate about addressing the opioid epidemic, combating violence against women and girls , improving access to legal services for low-income residents, and increasing affordable housing. She serves on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee and the Elections Committee. Outside of the legislature, she serves on the Blue Hill School Committee and has experience teaching and working with teenagers.
