Biography
Nick Schroer is a Republican Missouri State Senator representing District 2, which includes parts of St. Charles County. Elected to the Senate in 2022, he previously served six years in the Missouri House for District 107. An attorney, he works as general counsel at Venture Group Investments, Inc., in St. Peters, MO, and was previously in family law and criminal defense; in 2014, he was named a Top 40 Under 40 Family Law Attorney in Missouri. Born in the St. Louis area , he lives in O'Fallon, MO, with his wife Kate, two daughters, and two rescue dogs. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and farming on his family farm in Fayette, MO. Notable positions include Chair of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and Joint Committee on Education; Vice-Chair of the Joint Committee on the Justice System and Task Force on Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Trinity Catholic High School ; bachelor's degree in criminology from University of Missouri-St. Louis; Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law , where he received scholarships including the Frank Bietto Memorial and CALI Award for Excellence in Health Law Legislation, and served as president of the Law School Republicans and Federalist Society.
