Biography
Nick Freitas is a Republican politician who represented Virginia's 62nd District in the House of Delegates from 2024 to 2026, following prior service in District 30 from 2016 to 2024. Born Nicholas Jason Freitas on August 29, 1979, in Chico, California, he is a former U.S. Army Special Forces veteran who served two combat tours in Iraq and was honorably discharged in 2009. He is married to Tina Freitas, with three children: Lillyana, Luke, and Alexandria. Freitas is known for his viral social media speeches and oratory skills in the General Assembly, and he has held roles such as chairman of the Culpeper County Republican Committee. Notable campaigns include unsuccessful runs for U.S. Senate in 2018 and U.S. House District 7 in 2020.
