Biography
Neil Hays is a Republican representative for Oklahoma House District 13, which includes parts of McIntosh, Muskogee, and Wagoner counties such as Checotah, Haskell, Muskogee, Okay, Oktaha, Rentiesville, Shady Grove, Summit, Taft, and Wainwright. Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, he serves as Assistant Majority Whip and holds committee roles including Vice Chair of Government Oversight, and memberships on Alcohol, Tobacco and Controlled Substances; A&B Transportation; and Banking, Financial Services and Pensions. He was elected in 2022 and serves in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from the 59th Legislature to present. Married to Nicole, they have six children. Notable achievements include owning a successful insurance agency that has received his carrier's Toppers Club Award multiple times and ranks consistently in the top five in sales; he also authored House Bill 4260, which passed the House to provide workers’ compensation benefits to first responders suffering heart attacks or strokes within eight hours of strenuous duty.
