Biography
Ned Lamont is a Democratic governor of Connecticut, serving statewide since 2019 as the 89th governor. He was reelected in 2022, defeating Republican Bob Stefanowski by a wider margin after winning in 2018. Notable achievements include legalizing recreational cannabis, sports betting, and online gambling; signing gun-control measures like Ethan's Law; raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour; expanding healthcare access; and leading Connecticut's COVID-19 response with robust testing and vaccination efforts. In 2025, he vetoed housing supply legislation.
