Representative Neal Jackson
Maze O'Neal "Neal" Jackson is a Republican representative serving the 78th district of the North Carolina House of Representatives, which encompasses Moore and Randolph counties. He was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and currently resides in Robbins, North Carolina. Jackson is married to Tracy and has five children.
Jackson has built a career spanning more than twenty-five years as a pastor and business owner, establishing himself as a community leader focused on family-centered initiatives. His professional background combines religious leadership with entrepreneurial experience.
Political Experience
Jackson first entered electoral politics in 2022, when he competed in the Republican primary election for the 78th district House seat. He defeated primary opponents David Ashley and Cory Bortree in May 2022. In the general election that November, he secured a decisive victory against Democrat Erik Davis, capturing 76 percent of the vote.
Jackson assumed office on January 1, 2023, succeeding Allen McNeill. He currently serves in his second term in the North Carolina House of Representatives. Within the legislature, he holds the position of Vice Chair of the House Committee on Energy and Public Utilities, reflecting his involvement in energy policy and utility regulation matters at the state level.
