Biography
Nathan "Nate" Butler is a Republican representing Kansas House District 68, which includes Junction City, Kansas. He assumed office on January 9, 2023, succeeding Dave Baker, and serves on the House Committees on Corrections and Juvenile Justice, Taxation, and Veterans and Military. Prior to his election, Butler worked as a realtor with RE/MAX Signature Properties, an associational mission strategist and consultant for pastors in the Smoky Hill Baptist Association, a pastor, an Army officer, and a civil servant; he also serves as a City Commissioner for Junction City.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Bachelor of Business from Wichita State University; Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University; Master of Arts in Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
- Political Experience: Elected to Kansas House of Representatives in 2022 for District 68 ; current committee roles include Taxation , Veterans and Military, and Corrections and Juvenile Justice. Married to Terry for 39 years, with three children and six grandchildren.
