Biography
Nancy A. Murphy is a Democratic representative in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, serving Hillsborough District 12. She was first elected on November 6, 2018, assumed office on December 5, 2018, and has served multiple terms, including re-election to a third term on November 5, 2024. Prior to her state house role, she won a seat on the Merrimack Town Council in April 2021 and was re-elected in 2024 for a second three-year term. A retired registered nurse, she worked as a nurse coordinator in the Foster Care Health Program for the State of NH, DHHS, and DCYF, and served as a core team member for Merrimack Citizens for Clean Water. She endorsed Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries and was a DLCC Spotlight candidate in a prior election. Married with six children, she resides at 20 Brenda Lane, Merrimack, NH.
