Biography
Nancy Guenst is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 152nd district . Elected in November 2020, she assumed office on January 3, 2021, succeeding Tom Murt. Born in Abington Township , Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, she is the youngest of five children in a working-class family and resides in Hatboro. She founded and owned Designs In Stone, Inc., an engraving business in Hatboro. Guenst served in the U.S. Army as an intelligence specialist, analyst, and German linguist/translator at Field Station Berlin. Notable achievements include serving on Hatboro Borough Council , as mayor , and championing the Human Relations Ordinance prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, or disability. She serves on the Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Children & Youth, Game & Fisheries, and Human Services committees, and advocates for veterans, emergency management, and community safety.
