Biography
Nancy Dahlstrom is a Republican politician serving as the 15th Lieutenant Governor of Alaska since December 2022, overseeing state elections as part of her role. Born on August 13, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to Alaska at age 18 from Utah, settling in Eagle River, where she has made her home; she is married with four grown children and eleven grandchildren. Previously, she represented District 18 in the Alaska House of Representatives from 2003 to 2010 and was elected to District 13 in 2018 but declined the seat to become Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Corrections . Notable achievements include chairing the Economic Development, International Trade & Tourism Committee, co-chairing the Armed Services and Resources Committees, and serving as Senior Military Affairs Advisor ; she ran for U.S. House in 2024.

A.S. in Human Services , B.S. in Human Services/Business from Wayland Baptist University; M.A. in Organizational Management/Human Resources from University of LaVerne.

- Alaska House of Representatives, District 18 : Chaired Economic Development, International Trade & Tourism Committee; co-chaired Armed Services and Resources Committees; vice-chair of Judiciary, Legislative Budget and Audit, and Legislative Council.

- Commissioner, Alaska Department of Corrections .
- Lieutenant Governor of Alaska : Focuses on public safety, reducing crime, energy security, food insecurity, and emergency preparedness.
Prior to politics, held managerial roles in marketing, sales, public affairs, and as a support specialist; also served as President of Birchwood Community Council and Vice President of Eagle River Republican Women's Club.
