Mitch McConnell is the Senior Senator from Kentucky. Senator McConnell is currently serving his sixth term. Previously, McConnell served as the Majority Leader, Minority Leader, and has represented Kentucky in the U.S. Senate since 1985. A Louisville native, McConnell graduated from the University of Louisville with honors and completed law school at the University of Kentucky, where he was elected Student Bar Association President. After law school, McConnell served as Chief Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Marlow Cook from 1968 to 1970.read less
