Biography
Mike Yin is a Democratic member of the Wyoming House of Representatives, representing District 16 in Teton County, which covers most of the town of Jackson south of Broadway Street. He has served since 2018 and is Wyoming's first Chinese-American legislator. Since 2023, he has held the position of House Minority Floor Leader. Yin is also a software engineer, businessman, and president of OtterSpace, a company building electric vehicle charging stations in Wyoming. Notable achievements include serving on the select committee on Blockchain, Financial Technology, and Digital Innovation Technology; sponsoring bills to raise Wyoming's minimum wage and protect contraceptive access; cosponsoring a 2021 bill for a 4% state income tax to fund education; and reelection in 2022 with 73.8% of the vote.
