Biography
Mike Webert is a Republican delegate representing Virginia's 61st House District, which includes parts of Culpeper, Fauquier, and Rappahannock counties. Born on September 24, 1979, in Denver, Colorado, he moved to Fauquier County, Virginia, in 1999 and resides in Warrenton with his wife, Rebecca, and their two sons, William and Benjamin. A farmer and business owner, Webert has deep roots in agriculture; his family has been in Fauquier County since the early 1930s. Notable achievements include receiving the Chesapeake Bay Foundation Legislator of the Year award in 2015 for environmental efforts, sponsoring legislation to meet Chesapeake Bay TMDL goals, and leading Locust Hill Farm to the 2010 Conservation Farm Award. He has passed bipartisan laws reducing red tape, cutting taxes, protecting Second Amendment rights, and promoting conservation.
