Biography
Michael "Mike" L. Testa, Jr. is a Republican State Senator representing New Jersey's 1st Legislative District. Born on May 1, 1976, he was first elected to the New Jersey State Senate in 2019 and reelected in 2023 with a resounding 65-35 majority, emerging as a key Republican figure amid broader party challenges. He serves on the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee, Senate Judiciary Committee, Joint Committee on the Public Schools, and co-chairs the New Jersey Legislative Manufacturing Caucus. A partner at Testa, Heck, Testa, and White, P.A., Testa is also Chair of the Cumberland County Regular Republican Organization and has held leadership roles including Past Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland and Salem Counties, Past Chair of the Vineland Downtown Improvement District , and Board President of the Vineland Regional Dance Company. He received the 2016 South Jersey Cultural Alliance Paul Aiken Encore Award for his arts dedication and is a member of the Greater Vineland Chapter of the NAACP.
