Mike Stevens - South Dakota Representative

Mike Stevens was born on January 24, 1953, and is a Republican member of the South Dakota House of Representatives representing District 18, which encompasses Yankton County. He has established himself as an active member of the state legislature and his local community through decades of public service.

Political Experience

Stevens has had two separate tenures in the South Dakota House of Representatives. His first service spanned from 2013 to 2019, during which he served as chairman of the Judiciary Committee. He was elected House Majority Whip on November 15, 2014, demonstrating significant leadership within the chamber.

After a brief absence from the legislature, Stevens returned to the South Dakota House of Representatives on January 12, 2021, representing District 18. He continues to serve in this capacity as a Republican member.
