Michael J. Skindell, born August 31, 1962, is a Democrat who has served in the Ohio General Assembly. He represented Ohio's 13th House District from 2003 to 2010 and again more recently, and Ohio's 23rd Senate District from 2011 to 2018. Notable roles include Mayor of Lakewood in 2015 and Lakewood Councilman at Large from 1998 to 2002. Achievements include the 2019 AMVETS Dept. of Ohio Legislator of the Year award for veteran support, key role in the 2007-2008 state budget, and advocacy for consumer protection, affordable healthcare, environmental preservation, and renewable energy.
