Biography

Mike Rogers is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 32 in Anne Arundel County. Born on February 20, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, he is a retired U.S. Army Colonel who served nearly 30 years in the Medical Service Corps. Notable achievements include being the first Black person to serve as vice chair and the first Black man elected chair of the Anne Arundel County Delegation; current roles encompass Chair of the Business Regulation Subcommittee of the Economic Matters Committee , House Chair of the Maryland Veterans Caucus , and member of the Maryland Veterans Trust . He ran unsuccessfully for U.S. House in Maryland's 3rd District in 2024. Rogers is a father of two, active in community service as a former Meade High School PTSA president, Severn Athletic Club football coach, and Russet Homeowners Association director, and holds memberships in organizations like Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion.

Education: Attended Hillcrest High School in Sumter, South Carolina, and New Hanover High School in Wilmington, North Carolina.
