Biography
Mike Regan is a Republican who represented Pennsylvania's 31st Senate District from 2017 to 2024. Born on September 10, 1961, in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, he is the son of Joseph and Ruth Regan and is married to Frances “Fran” Regan with four children. He did not seek reelection in 2024 and left office on November 30, 2024. Notable positions include Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Vice Chairman of Local Government, as well as service on the Pennsylvania Statewide Suicide Prevention Task Force .
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill; B.S. in crime and justice from Albright College.
- Military Service: Served in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.
- Early Appointments: United States Marshal for the Middle District of Pennsylvania ; Deputy Inspector General of Pennsylvania .
- Legislative Career: Elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 92nd District , serving on the Select Committee on School Safety ; elected to the Pennsylvania State Senate for the 31st District , with committee roles in Community, Economic and Recreational Development; Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure; Judiciary ; Law and Justice; Local Government ; and Rules and Executive Nominations.
