Biography
Mike Redondo is a Republican representative for Florida House District 118 in Miami-Dade County. Born on December 27, 1984, in Miami, Florida, to Cuban American parents, he is a Catholic attorney residing in Miami with his wife, Ukrainian refugee Alina Yermolova, whom he married on December 27, 2024.
Notable achievements include winning a 2023 special election for District 118 with 51% of the vote against Johnny Farias and Francisco De La Paz, and securing reelection in November 2024 with 68.3% of the vote. On June 30, 2025, he received unanimous support from all 22 members of the House GOP freshman class to serve as Speaker after the 2030 elections.
He currently serves on committees including Health & Human Services, Health Professions & Programs Subcommittee, Economic Infrastructure Subcommittee, Health Care Budget Subcommittee, and Housing, Agriculture & Tourism Subcommittee.
