Biography
D. Michael "Mike" Ray is a Democratic state representative serving House District 40 in the Maine House of Representatives, which includes the towns of Appleton, Islesboro, Liberty, Lincolnville, Montville, Morrill, and Searsmont. Elected in November 2024, he began his term in December 2024 and currently serves on the Transportation Committee, overseeing areas such as the Department of Transportation, motor vehicles, highways, public safety, and railroads. A retired Ohio native living in Lincolnville, Ray has a history of local service on town boards including the select board, planning board, land use committee, and Conservation Commission, as well as work with the Mid Coast Council of Governments and the Maine Municipal Association's Legislative Policy Committee. Previously, he worked as a Registered Maine Guide leading kayaking and camping trips.
