Mike Moffett is a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Merrimack District 4 . Born on May 30, 1955, he is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel who served as a reserve infantry officer, with deployments to the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan. He is married with four children and resides in Loudon, NH. Moffett is also an author, columnist, former town moderator, and school board member. Notable achievements include sponsoring or co-sponsoring bipartisan bills on civics education, support for gifted and special needs students, and veterans' assistance; he has served as Chair of the House Committee on State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs, and previously on the House Education Committee.

Moffett holds a baccalaureate and M.Ed. from Plymouth State University , with post-graduate studies at the University of San Diego and USMC Command & Staff College. He also studied at the University of New Hampshire.
